About Us

Mr. Alawy works as a vascular surgeon at Galway University Hospital, which also serves as a teaching hospital for the National University of Ireland. The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), Section and Board of Vascular Surgery, awarded Mr. Alawy an honorary degree. In addition, he is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI).

A doctorate in surgery was awarded following the completion of a randomized control study titled “Radio-cephalic versus brachio-cephalic arterio-venous fistula in diabetic patients with end-stage renal disease.” This study was carried out at Ain Shams University Hospitals.

While earning his master’s degree in surgery in 2008, Mr. Alawy studied “Recent Trends in the Management of Recurrences of Varicose Veins.”

Much of his research in Vascular Surgery has been published in high-quality journals like the European Journal of Vascular Surgery (EJVES), the Journal of Vascular Surgery (JVS), Vascular (BMJ OpenHeart), and the Journal of Vascular Surgery (EJVES).

Mr. Alawy worked as a senior clinical fellow at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, with a special interest in complex endovascular aortic procedures.

Mr. Alawy has 17 years of vascular surgery experience in landmark hospitals in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Egypt that provide the best vascular specialty services.

An expert in open, endovascular, and hybrid vascular surgery interventions.
